I very much enjoyed this trip, it was a great opportunity to find and observe the special birds of SW WA. It was hard work getting up early every morning and, at times spending hours on the bus on route to a spot but this is essential to spot the birds! I found our guide, Mike Barrow to be well informed and skillful in finding and identifying birds. There were times when finding birds was difficult, Mike persevered and was flexible, changing plans to better suit the group. He also sought help from his colleagues, very sensible. It is hard work to run a tour like this, driving, spotting and the pressure to find birds, Mike did it well. In the end, we saw nearly all the targeted birds, many were not easy to find, if they were easy to find it would not be as much fun. One of the highlights of this trip was to visit the beautiful landscapes of this part of Australia. The accommodation was fine, we only really slept in these places and the food was good. In returning home I re read the outline for the tour and found it to accurately describe the walking we undertook.
Overall I thought this was a marvellous tour, great spots to visit and I was excited to see the birds.
